Our “business” with each other is more than a transaction.
I hope that open communication around money can be a foundation for trust between us. In a capitalist culture that discourages conversations about money—limiting transparency, financial literacy, and self-advocacy—it’s important to me that we speak openly about the costs of my services and what works for you.
I offer a flexible sliding scale pricing structure. I’ve often learned the most about being a good counselor from clients who’ve had the fewest resources and want to ensure my services are accessible, ethical, and high-quality. This cost covers a one-on-one, 45-minute session for us to work together and review our work and plan for next session, as well as 15 minutes for me to recharge between sessions.
I trust you to be honest with yourself and your financial situation when engaging with this sliding scale. If you commit to the top when you’re financially able, you give access to clients truly in need of financial flexibility. Real talk: I wouldn’t have started this business if I could have lived on the wages my workplaces offered me. When you pay me fairly, you empower me to use my gifts—and you empower others who might not get the chance to use their gifts. You also amplify and value helping work like counseling and teaching when systems erase and devalue it.

$150
This commitment enables me to sustain my ethical business model and support clients who need to pay less. This cost is in line with what counselors bill clients and insurance.
$100
This commitment is for clients who would experience hardship paying $150/session while affording essentials like rent, groceries, debt, childcare, etc.
$50
This commitment is for clients who would experience hardship paying $100/session while affording essentials.
These numbers are a guide. If another number feels more reachable, let’s talk.
My commitments:
-
Running my own business means I’m able to prioritize you—not profits, politicians, or shareholders.
-
Past workplaces forced me to scale back on what I give because my full effort was never rewarded, leading to burnout. When I run my business in a way that honors me, I’m free to function full-throttle—which means you get the best of me.
-
I cap one-on-one sessions at 15 per week to ensure I’m giving you my best energy. To ensure I can afford to keep counseling while offering accessible fees, space may be limited in the $100 and $50 tiers—but I’ll always do my best to match you with the right fit, whether that’s me or a trusted referral.
-
Because income doesn’t always tell someone’s whole financial story, I don’t require income verification. I trust you to make a financial commitment that’s right for you.
-
I don’t offer discounted packages. I want us to work together as long as it’s helpful—not for a sunk cost fallacy. Also, package discounts reward those that can afford to pay the most, which runs contrary to my mission of accessibility.
-
If a package commitment motivates you, you’re welcome to pay ahead for any number of sessions. You can also use sessions on a rolling basis. Life happens, and I want you to show up when it feels right.
-
While you may commit to as many or as few sessions as works for you, many of my clients’ goals need several sessions to reach. I’ll always be open and collaborative with you about making a plan to reach your goals.
